Solution Architect is responsible for designing end-to-end technology solutions that align with business objectives, enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, and operational capabilities. This role bridges business needs and technical implementation by translating requirements into scalable, secure, and sustainable technology architectures while supporting project delivery and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Architecture
- Design end-to-end application, integration, infrastructure, cloud, and data solutions to support business requirements.
- Develop solution architectures, technical blueprints, and system design documents.
- Ensure proposed solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, technology standards, and target-state architecture.
- Evaluate technology options and recommend appropriate platforms, frameworks, and tools.
- Provide architectural guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Business & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, project managers, and technical teams to understand business requirements.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and architecture designs.
- Participate in solution workshops and requirement analysis sessions.
- Communicate architecture decisions and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Technology Governance
- Review and approve solution designs to ensure compliance with architectural standards.
- Conduct architecture reviews and risk assessments.
- Ensure solutions meet security, regulatory, governance, and compliance requirements.
- Support architecture governance boards and technical review committees.
Integration & System Design
- Define application integration patterns and API strategies.
- Design scalable and reusable architectures for enterprise systems.
- Ensure interoperability between applications, data platforms, and infrastructure components.
- Establish architecture best practices and design standards.
Cloud & Infrastructure Architecture
- Design cloud-native and hybrid-cloud solutions when applicable.
- Ensure high availability, resilience, scalability, and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Optimize solution performance, security, and cost efficiency.
Project Support & Delivery
- Provide technical leadership during solution implementation.
- Support development, testing, deployment, and transition-to-operation activities.
- Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation plans.
- Resolve architectural issues and technical challenges during project execution.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Research emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Identify opportunities for digital innovation and process improvement.
- Contribute to enterprise architecture roadmaps and technology strategy initiatives.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor‘s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Master‘s Degree is a plus.
Experience
- 10 years of experience in IT, Software Development, Infrastructure, or Solution Design.
- At least 3 years of experience in a Solution Architect or similar architecture role.
- Experience in large-scale enterprise application implementation.
- Banking, financial services, or digital transformation experience is preferred.

Em mới ra trường, có nên ứng tuyển Solution Architect tại ACB không ạ?
Theo mình thì vị trí Solution Architect yêu cầu kinh nghiệm thực tế từ 5-8 năm, vì bạn cần đã từng thiết kế và chịu trách nhiệm về hệ thống thực tế. Nếu mới ra trường, bạn nên bắt đầu ở vị trí Software Engineer hoặc Junior Developer, làm 2-3 năm rồi chuyển lên Senior, tích lũy thêm 2-3 năm nữa ở vai trò Tech Lead thì mới nên apply Solution Architect. Tuy nhiên nếu bạn có portfolio cá nhân mạnh, đã thiết kế các open-source project quy mô lớn hoặc đã thi được hệ thống ở môi trường startup thì có thể apply, nhưng vẫn khó cạnh tranh với ứng viên 7-10 năm kinh nghiệm.
Mức lương Solution Architect tại ACB khoảng bao nhiêu là hợp lý?
Theo thị trường hiện tại, Solution Architect ở ACB thường dao động từ 70 đến 130 triệu gross tùy theo kinh nghiệm và chứng chỉ. Nếu bạn có 5-7 năm kinh nghiệm và có TOGAF hoặc chứng chỉ cloud (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Expert) thì có thể đề xuất 90-120 triệu. Senior hơn (8-12 năm) có thể đề xuất 130-180 triệu. Lưu ý đây chỉ là ước lượng, bạn nên research trên các trang như VietnamWorks, TopCV và hỏi trong cộng đồng để có số liệu chính xác hơn ở thời điểm ứng tuyển. Mức lương có thể thay đổi tùy ngân hàng và thời điểm nhé.
Mình đang làm Senior Developer ở fintech 6 năm, muốn chuyển sang Solution Architect tại ngân hàng thì cần chuẩn bị gì?
Đây là bước chuyển khá tự nhiên vì bạn đã có nền tảng fintech rồi. Bạn cần bổ sung: (1) Hiểu biết sâu về banking domain - core banking, payment systems, lending workflows, KYC/AML, regulation NHNN; (2) System design nâng cao - học thêm về scalability, high availability, distributed systems qua sách của Alex Xu và Martin Kleppmann; (3) Cloud architecture - nếu có AWS/Azure cert thì càng tốt; (4) Stakeholder management - đây là skill quan trọng nhất, vì Architect phải giao tiếp với business nhiều hơn dev; (5) TOGAF cert là điểm cộng nhưng không bắt buộc. Đề xuất: Trong CV, hãy highlight các dự án bạn đã dẫn dắt về technical decision, các ADRs (Architecture Decision Records) bạn đã viết.
Cloud hay On-premise quan trọng hơn khi làm Solution Architect tại ngân hàng Việt Nam?
Cả hai đều quan trọng, nhưng theo xu hướng hiện tại thì Cloud đang được ưu tiên. NHNN đã có chỉ đạo về chuyển đổi số và khuyến khích ngân hàng dùng cloud. Nhiều ngân hàng lớn ở VN (Techcombank, VPBank, TPBank) đã chuyển nhiều workload lên AWS/Azure rồi. Tuy nhiên core banking vẫn thường on-premise vì regulation. Nên bạn nên thành thạo cloud (ưu tiên AWS vì phổ biến nhất ở VN) nhưng đừng bỏ qua on-premise architecture. Hybrid cloud là kỹ năng rất giá trị. Đề xuất: lấy AWS Solutions Architect Associate trước, sau đó nâng lên Professional.
Phỏng vấn Solution Architect ACB có khác gì phỏng vấn ở Google, Facebook không?
Khác khá nhiều. Ở Big Tech FAANG, họ focus rất nhiều vào algorithm, coding on whiteboard, system design tổng quát. Ở ACB và các ngân hàng VN, coding không phải focus chính. Thay vào đó: (1) System design có context ngân hàng cụ thể; (2) Banking domain knowledge rất quan trọng; (3) Stakeholder management và giao tiếp với business; (4) Trade-off analysis giữa các giải pháp; (5) Compliance và security (PCI-DSS, NHNN); (6) Project và delivery experience. Một buổi phỏng vấn có thể hỏi bạn vẽ kiến trúc cho một quy trình cho vay từ application đến disbursement, kèm các yêu cầu compliance. Đó là lý do tại sao hiểu biết về banking domain là yếu tố quyết định.
Có nên học TOGAF trước khi apply không, hay chỉ cần chứng chỉ cloud?
Cả hai đều có giá trị, nhưng mình đề xuất ưu tiên Cloud trước vì: (1) Cloud cert (đặc biệt AWS Solutions Architect) có giá trị thực tế cao hơn, áp dụng được ngay; (2) Cloud cert phù hợp với nhiều vị trí, không chỉ ngân hàng; (3) Chi phí TOGAF cao hơn và ít thực hành; (4) TOGAF là framework, không phải technical hands-on. Tuy nhiên nếu bạn target vị trí Enterprise Architect lâu dài thì TOGAF rất cần. Combo lý tưởng cho Solution Architect VN: AWS Solutions Architect Pro + TOGAF Certified. Nếu ngân hàng cụ thể dùng Azure thì thay bằng Azure Solutions Architect Expert. Về timing: apply trước khi có chứng chỉ cũng OK nếu kinh nghiệm bạn đủ tốt, sau đó thi lấy cert trong thời gian làm việc.
Mình 32 tuổi, 7 năm kinh nghiệm full-stack, liệu có quá muộn để chuyển sang Solution Architect không?
Hoàn toàn không muộn, thậm chí đây là timing rất hợp lý. 32 tuổi với 7 năm full-stack là profile rất tốt cho Solution Architect vì bạn có đủ technical depth và đủ tuổi để stakeholder tin tưởng. Nhiều Solution Architect tại ACB và các ngân hàng lớn ở tuổi 30-35. Tuy nhiên, bạn cần nhận ra rằng Solution Architect không chỉ là technical excellence mà còn là communication và business acumen. Nếu bạn đã có kinh nghiệm dẫn dắt dự án, thuyết trình trước business thì rất tốt. Nếu chưa, hãy bắt đầu tích lũy bằng cách: (1) Đề xuất làm tech lead cho dự án trong công ty hiện tại; (2) Viết blog chia sẻ kiến trúc; (3) Tham gia cộng đồng open source. Đừng đợi đủ xong mới apply, hãy apply và học trong quá trình làm việc.
Làm Solution Architect ở ngân hàng có dễ chuyển sang fintech/startup không?
Rất dễ, thậm chí đây là background rất có giá trị ở fintech. Nhiều fintech ở VN (MoMo, ZaloPay, VNPay, Timo) thích tuyển người có banking background vì họ cần hiểu domain để build product phù hợp. Điểm mạnh của bạn: hiểu banking business, compliance, security mindset. Điểm cần bổ sung khi sang fintech: (1) Speed over perfection - ở fintech cần ship nhanh hơn; (2) Customer obsession thay vì governance; (3) Data-driven mindset; (4) Thường dùng cloud-native stack hơn ở ngân hàng. Mức lương tùy thuộc vào funding stage của startup, nhưng nếu là fintech Series C trở lên thì offer thường tương đương hoặc cao hơn ngân hàng, kèm ESOP. Cơ hội này mở rất nhiều, đặc biệt trong giai đoạn 2025-2030 khi fintech VN phát triển mạnh.
